Hanna Festa

Observation 1:

My first observation was at Pleasant Ridge Middle School and I observed Miss. Secrest's eighth grade english class. I spent two weeks there and I also observed a different english teacher, a social studies teacher, and a science teacher. I got to expierience so many different and new classrooms and it was a great first look into teaching. 

 

 

Observation 2:

My second observation was an eighth grade class at Aubry Bend Middle School. During my two weeks I observed Mrs. Ballard's english class and at the end I came up with a lesson plan and taught the students. The eighth graders were reading The Pearl by John Steinbeck, and for my lesson plan I had them annotate and read an article about pearl diving. I got a whole new expierience while at Aubry Bend and it really helped me see myself actually pursuing a job in educaton one day. 

 

Observation 3:

My final observation was with Ms. Schremmer in her art class at Morse Elementary. The first couple of days I just observed but then I helped out with a 5th grade tree painting project! After that I composed a lesson plan for 5th graders to make paper snowflakes for the gazebo in the library. I had a really great experience at Morse and visual art education is definitely somtething I might want to pursue.
